Near Reality - Branding Project

Unfortunately after having done all this work, did the client decide to not pay the other half of the payment.
Payment has been provided thanks to the massive support I've received, thank you everyone <3.

With this I've decided to take my leave from the R-S scene.
Thank you for working with me over the past two years, I've worked with more than 150+ clients in this time.
I'll be around for a bit for this project though.

I am not into politics. However, I will admit, it was very shitty of them to avoid payment. Sorry you are leaving the scene, but I do not blame you. A person can only handle so much bull crap. The fact that it is from NR, is a big blow to the scene, because you are supposed to be able to work in faith and receive compensation for what you have worked hard to earn. Hard to trust anyone if one of the biggest names ever in RSPS history does this mess.

i would like to say wave u are a nice person its unforunate to see you leave. but its the wolrd we live in today scammers are everywere ive been scammed over 1.5k+ from rune-server what can we say some people are still out there who are truthful. thanks for youre help towards the community.

The logo did not live up to the expectations I had. I wanted a simple, cartoonish logo. I stated this multiple times, I had to go with another designer because I simply cannot use this logo. I offered him to make some color and texture changes for a Bloodlust niche logo and I would have no problem paying the other half. I appreciated the design during the color swatch phase but in the end it simply was not what I was after. I have never had any issues with designers before, if the product is up to standards, I pay their price if not more on some occasions, this missed my mark. If changes are made, I’ll pay your other half. Thanks!

Note that this was finished 23rd of august.
I've been told this 6th of september.
I've been as transparent as possible and held your hand with every step.
It's unreasonable to work any further on this, that being said please refrain from commenting any further on this thread as I don't want this to clog this thread up.

I've felt your pain. Design was done pretty well to me with lots of variations possible. Already said it but I know you'll do very well outside of R-S, hell you achieved the Designer rank here in no time due to how much you work.

Go get 'em Wave.

end of the day ive paid for things i didnt like its called life. nrpk this is why i dont understand how ur server even got big. u pay for things u asked for. i paid for things i asked for but turnd out to be something i didnt like...

i came to wave for a logo cause hes amazing. but i didnt have the budget for ti since ive spent over 5k+ on just coding alone.

First of all the logo looks amazing, second you shouldnt give up just bcz of some rats, designers incl others that do services have to deal with it, it's part of this `job` shit happens, don't throw out the other 950$ just bcz of 50$ loss

Ill buy the logo and more artwork like this style if NR doesn't want this gorgeous piece

To top it off, they decided to rip off Zenyte's logo instead!

problem that I see here is..
as a client you instruct changes based off what you want.
you cannot allow someone to “start” the final product after talking about designs and then back out.
you instructed wave incorrectly if the design came out the wrong way.
graphics design isn’t a linear thing.
you should pay wave for his time regardless of the “appreciation” of the design
I’m sure he showed many renditions as the graphic that was being created.
Very sad to see how you handled this situation.
when you hire someone to do a non linear job, be more precise with your info.

You should try to work with Fiverr. Lot's of potential there and many logo requests daily.

Love how what you've created is way better than what they decided to go with. It sucks to see freelancers doing good work like this, just for them to not be paid. It sucks to see you leave, however I hope you find success doing graphic work where ever you decide to go. Take care :)

Haven't been around for a long time but I've noticed you've grown a lot in your work. I'm very proud of what you've accomplished my friend!
Unfortunately, there are these types of people. As other people said, look into Fiverr services, I'm sure you'll grow a lot more in your designing work and will reach bigger and better goals in your career :) .

Literally all of Wave's designs are practically the SAME, his work is flawless compared to most. You reached out to a professional and got professional work done for practically pennies.

You disgust me and it's a major disrespect to Wave and the GFX community.

Not to mention the fucking lengthy process of sketching each design and @NRPK actually chose the design knowing what they were expecting! Each step in this process was constructed to their choosing. This is nothing short of theft.

This is extremely disheartening knowing Wave will no longer be producing content for R-S. You should be ashamed of yourself NRPK. :fire:

You can say what you like. If a client is unhappy with something, the one providing the service should make changes to satisfy said client. Paying $400.00 for a logo that I will not use is simply disheartening. I was on vacation hence the delay in reply, I never accepted the final product, not sure where you are getting that from. Regardless, I appreciated the time the was spent on the sketching process and I truly did like the result during the color swatch phase. I asked for a simple, cartoonish logo, and this simply was not it. I don’t care how long a logo takes, he could have spent an hour on the logo, if I liked it, I would have had no problem paying the full amount of $400.00.

Did you not review Waves work previously? Every single logo he has made for a server has been distinguishably the SAME. The fact that you don't know what you are purchasing is a red flag. The fact that you went to another person that produced you a Zenyte logo is hilarious and even further shows your incompetence.

Of course I reviewed his work, that was a reason why I reached out to him. I mentioned it numerous times that I wanted a simple logo providing 5+ examples of logo styles that I was looking after, I was told this was possible so we went ahead with the design process. At the end of the day, you should be making the client happy with the services that were rendered. As of now I am a dissatisfied client that has wasted $400.00. If you contracted a logo with a designer and didn't get what you were looking for, after spending 400 dollars, I can assume you wouldn't be very happy as well.

He wanted a zaros shaped design with zenyte shading.
That being said, he was so busy on vacation even though he got a complete new logo done in that timeframe
aswell as working with another designer I work with.

The payment has been received, I would not recommend to work with NRPK/jacmob.
He's been to MrAve23, Evil-S, Omni, Chance, Tousuki and now me, I'm sure the problem lies with the
numerous designers he's worked with.

I can only say good things about Evil System and Ave, always providing some of the best designs I’ve seen. The sole reason you were contracted was due to their availability. If I liked the logo, the amount would have been paid in full without hesitation, it missed my mark, but I digress, I’m done discussing this. I wish you the best!

Lol I thought you went on vacation and it resulted in delay/"hesitation".

I know that everyone have taste, so liking someone work or not depends of the person. Anyway as a designer i do provide revisions to my clients , and to be honest when you ask 400$ for a logo you have to be ready to do some revisions. Also if you are not able to follow some style just decline the order and say i cant do that, not so hard i think. But in this madness and drama i still cant realize how it happens the client to pick the Green sketch then receive yellow logo, hmm its my monitor or what ?!

Note: I did done ZENYTE logo i did lot of logos and designs for RS scene got fucked up many times here and in WoW private scene but never did posted a thered to cry and ask for support because i did NOT made something as the client requested.
