The path looks like it’s floating and lacks real depth with the world itself, it looks a lot brighter and there no grass going over / any dark shades going onto the grass itself, it has a feeling of “floating” as you said, it’s plastered together, you probably composed this of different drawings. The lighting for the red fireballs is awesome and works very well, however, and again it doesn’t make sense, the arm is behind the torso, which creates the edges to be deep red, but then why is the top arm not lot more, the fireball is informe of the hand itself, therefore there should be more shades of red. Maybe add some more shades of red to some blades of grass instead of a red circle at the bottom.
let’s look at the boots of each of the wizards, they look floating (this is very hard to actually correct, there needs to be a steeper black under either their boots casting a shadow from the multiple light sources
and again, I’m not shitting on it, I love it. I think you’ve done some very amazing details and the clothing is very well done. I’m just giving you some moving forward advice, your lighting and shading makes it very fake, but it’s a very difficult thing to master, but if you master this, you’ll make incredible work. Take a few lessons on lighting. You’ll be absolutely incredible.
Edit- look at your character on the right, replicate that lighting to the character on the left, that one makes more sense and looks much better
i cant give u feedback but this is lovely )
Amazing work, some of the best I've seen on rune-server over the years. Your obsession with slapping texts over the background is the only thing I personally dislike, it makes the text seem like it wasn't meant for the background. You could of simply made the background wider on the one in this post to make it fit, just out of curiosity why do you do this?
Great work on the textures, especially with the soft dissolve acting as the backdrop in the banner. That clean sort of soft noise really reminds me a lot of Chance's work, and I've always been fond of that. The colors are a bit too drastically contrasting for my liking, but that's mostly because the orange/purple/bronze kind of look doesn't really compliment one another too well. The soft glows on your border near the top would imply there's a light source from the backdrop, however you're using that as more of a dark draw to frame the text, so it might not be an awful idea to reverse the direction of the glow. The orange gem at the top feels a bit right-sided, but that's the problem in trying to divide something that's only 2px wide on the apex - https://i.imgur.com/aKv6SCG.png; it might not hurt to either shrink it to 1px or expand it to 3. Also, playing around with a soft glow emanating from that orange gem and then touching onto the border in place of that purple would be a pretty sweet look. The black line work in the background although a good idea, is a bit too thick and a bit too spaced out so it's creating a bit too much negative space; to compliment them though, your lighter purple accent lines are a very nice touch and add some serious elements of depth among them. Overall, pretty damn cool, and I'm a huge fan of the insignia kind of carvings along the frame.
