I just always think when I do run my service, that people expect their login done in a fast frame hence the reason I rush, so quality is poor but if I could take longer I bet it'd come out sharp
Just tell them how long you need. Creativity can't be forced, it kinda needs to come to you. For some that happens easier. So say you need 1 week to finish one client BG, you tell them that. You can take on multiple at once, and hop between them, just don't get it let out of hand to such an extent it affects you a lot mentally or the quality of the end product. I'm sure most people will appreciate a good quality background rather than a quickly delivered one. Good luck though!

PS: My current sig is also made by Chance, if you're curious about his work!

Although this is for anytihng in life, improvement will only occur when you yourself decided you're ready to.

You're way too fixated on the point "the box is too big" and neglect the other pointers that you could use and improve yourself with.
    Here's a rundown of what I would change and focus on with your next projects and some other advice;

    - Readability - What's the main thing you want to stand out?
    - Cohesion - Don't just put a background behind it and then the logo etc. and call it done.
    - No need to focus on how fast you deliver your piece, assuming you want to improve you'll go that extra mile.
Skill is what's going to make you faster and faster with your designs.

    - Charge an amount to your clients where you don't half-ass your work.
Charging a low price will make you more fed-up with the design, since you'll have the mindset "it's only 10$ anyway" or "I did it in 30 mins last time, now it's already been an hour".

    - Aim higher than rune-server : )

    Anyway, good luck

I've actually seen some of your art work and man I would love to be in your boots, that is impressive work. I think you got me there for charging for low price, I have that mindset but at the standpoint I'm scared to charge more (as I feel my work isn't good yet, or from others point of view) and I fear of losing customers for overcharging so I just try and do my best within that amount of time. I really want to get a sketch pad (I think its what they use) to draw and import to your computer; dont remember but will need to take a look.

    Thank you so much Wave

I regret saying everything yesterday as now I'm seeing the differences, the quality is just there in your siggy

And I will take that into consideration with the time to complete it,

Aside note from all this, anyone play COD and wanna team link on PC?

And I didn't learn by myself. I got drilled by designers on this forum and others for years, in early years I can assure you it would spiral off just a "this is absolute shit" from menth or someone, and I would have to sit back and hold my tongue until Wolf came in with some paragraphs on how I could improve lol. You'll get a mix of those replies, but I'm here to be more like Wolf, where I can take what I've learned and show you. If you ever need any help or direction just reach out.

P.S. I'm pretty sure my old wacom tablet still works, I'll see and if so, I can give to you.

I downloaded some more photoshop vectors and fonts, im going to start practicing a little more. I just started one and when it is done I will release it maybe for someone else to learn off of or play around with I hope it comes out good but will be spending time wisely with it so the results are a better outcome

I can't tell you many times Barako lectured me on that.

I don't think you should showcase something that is excessively watermarked like this unless it wasn't paid for yet.

Three things I think you should keep in mind for client backgrounds: the font, the design idea, the placements and layer styles. Find a font that closely relates to the logo or just looks neutral so that it fits with the logo more. Pentool is a great way to create a great shape for your login interface as well as login buttons, although I did find it hard to work with at first you will gradually learn to use it well. The login interface is basically the face of the client background in my opinion, not the logo. It needs to stand out and compliment the logo as well as the back drop of the entire thing, using the colour schemes and creating a palette of colours will help you greatly with the addition of layer styles OR really creative uses of soft brushes.

The back drop shouldn't end up the same way you downloaded it, make a design out of it. Take different stocks, find brushes for effects you want to imitate. There's no problem with just using one image, I do it all the time but I'm trying to break out of that habit however I do make sure I do some sort of edit whether it's extremely small or to fit the overall design.

I think you can do well though, I've definitely seen people improve their designs over time here myself included but I'm still trying to improve. Looking forward to more examples
