I like that, well done.
The design all together is well put together I do love it. Given that red is my favorite color.
My feedback as to what could improve it: I think that the design should have highlights. Colors to accent the red since the design
itself is very dark in nature. Other than that maybe move the login box etc down some? Idk if that's just me but it seems a bit high.
With that said Nik I do love it, you did a very good job and I know the customer is very happy

You know Nik I can work with your client to get the buttons positioned if they wanted. It is simple Client sided work.
Would be free ofcourse but that is they're choice my man. Either way I love the design, the option is open.

Personal Feedback;
Background feels empty and bland. You need something there to make it more appealing. It has something going on, but you don't know what it is. The logo would look much better without the sword. It has a bad positioning and doesn't fit the logo either. The logo itself is looks top notch. The login box looks good. My only complaint is that you have a square and then what looks like a stroke in it, which looks [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
