I think i did a lot better on these

Using it on our game bambino just dropping a few loafs of bread while i do the same

Not too bad at all my guy - a few pointers i'd probably give you is to try and improve your perspective on the loaf of bread and Sword - your hilt seems to be off alignment with the blade itself and the 'drop shadow' for the blade is too dark as it stands, lower that a bit and you'll be gold. Other than that they're easy to read.

Shield looks good - easy to recognize and distinguish what item it is, perhaps enlarge it a bit to give it more details (though I assume you're working with a limited resolution based on inventory space)

Keep it up dude, you've got a great start.

I actually considered going to em for some work, however I've got a lack of free time so i opted out.
    Identity inherits limitation, therefore sacrifice.

So for the sword i used a spray can tool on the drop shadow with an invert selection of the sword outline, i could also just duplicate the layer color the sword in as black and offset it from the colored sword with a low opacity.
My limitation is 32x32 pixels so i have very limited space when it comes to creating items as such.

I also plan on doing terrain in the near future I've had trouble with the detail I've seen some people use noise for distributed detail with an even pattern and a grid to seperate the blocks

terrain is a tricky one, especially with seamless patterns, in fact this is what i'm working on now:

still a long ways to go for me... You may also find this useful too as its helped me with a lot of studies with pixelart even tho i'm still kinda noob at it.

I've always admired pixel artists, Omni excluded. Did you create the tree and outhouse in the game image?
