Simple tutorial on how to create an abstract Circuit-Board in 5mins.
1. Create a new document of any size, the size really depends on the further use. I used 800x800.
2. Go to Filter -> Render -> Clouds (Make sure you have black and white as fore/background colors selected, otherwise hit D).
3. Go to Filter -> Blur -> Motion Blur Change blur settings to maximum (999)
4. Filter -> Stylize -> Find Edges
Now copy the current Layer (right-click or Ctrl+J.
Next go into Free Transform mode (Ctrl+T) then right-click on your image and click rotate 90 degrees. Press Enter to confirm.
Set the Layer mode to Darken and hit Ctrl+E to merge the Layers.
It should look like this now:
5. Go to Filter -> Stylize -> Glowing Edges and enter 1;20;3. It will look like this:
6. Open Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+U, or Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation. Check colorize and enter the following 180;100;0 or any color you like.
7. Now we'll add some Perspective, again go into Free Transform Mode (Ctrl+T), right-click the image and select Perspective. Drag one of the bottom dots far to the side, like on the picture and hit Enter:
8. Copy the Layer again (Ctrl+J) and apply a Gaussian Blur (Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur). Set it to 4,5 px.
Set the Layer properties to Screen. It will look like this:
9. Go to Filter -> Render -> Lighting Effects and enter the following:
Spotlight
69:69:0:69:0:8
Place the Light on the preview screen the way you prefer.
I did it like this:
10. Finally go to Image -> Adjustments -> Brightness/Contrast and play around with the rulers.
