Hello guys,
Oblivion here.
I'm just wondering how people make a light effect like this:
I have seen a tutorial before on this - kinda - effect but it wasn't really clear.
You can see the effect at the end
OR
The lighting
**I do not own these images.

This is basicly it.
I have seen that one before but is there anything I need to "focus" on? Because whenever I did that I really messed up I think.
Not sure because I can't really remember it that good - it was a year ago I think - but yeah. Thanks for the help anyways. I will try to follow that one again.
Just open after effects and put your image in a new composition. Add CC Light Sweep to the layer, put it on the left side and start the stopwatch then move it to the right side at like 3 seconds then play it from the start.
White to transparent reflected gradient, set on overlay.
Make the gradient about an inch or so to make the light beam.
Move it off the canvas to the left of your image. (make sure you're holding shift)
Windows>Timeline>Create FRAME animation
Set your first frame's time to 2s (or however long you want the animation to not appear)
Create new frame, drag the gradient layer (hold shift) off the canvas to the right.
Hit the tween button (looks like a diagonal line of balls fading) make it about 5 frames or so. The more frames the longer the animation is dragged out.
Change all frames after the first frame to .1s.
Hit play.
I imagine this is probably hard to keep up with.. When I'm home from work I'll see about making a short little video tutorial.
