Not sure if this thread belongs here or in Media>Images but anyways this is my first attempt at some photography, got the camera a year ago and just got to using it now. Mainly got it for video editing but figured it'd be best/fun to learn photography so I can get used to the camera. Got a tripod with some other useful accessories for the camera lately and now plan on getting a $400 - $500 gimbal sometime in February for some video editing, a long with a 100mm-300mm f/4.5-5.6 zoom lens eventually for some cool pictures of the moon and such.
Anyways I got a long way to go with photography but have plans on really getting into it with macro shots/freeze shots/photos with animated backgrounds/ETC so if anyone has any ideas let me know! Also plan on testing my 60FPS video recording for some slow motion tests with my cat/drifting in my vehicle.

floofy
cat!
i just got my first camera recently as well but through a local listing; a canon rebel t3. it's quite old compared to what's out there rn but i'm poor and i managed to get a good deal on it. it came with the original 18-55mm lens, some accessories, as well as a 18-135 mm lens - which is prob worth more than everything else.
i've been using it a lot to stalk my cat.
Spoiler for :
the quality is poor cuz the image has been compressed after combining the 3 photos in an app.
Cute cat!
I don't know if it's the camera, but the lighting certainly needs work. Also, the camera quality itself seems kinda...low. But good on you for getting started and posting your pictures. Please post more!
If you mean the quality (the amount of noise) and light on the trees it's cause I had the ISO fairly high possibly since the other image quality looks good, I also transfered all the photos to my phone from the camera using wifi (Next time I'll pull off the micro SD card) so that could be a main reason for loss of quality. Images were also shot in RAW format so next time I'll see how they turn out after manually transferring from the micro SD card to see if I need to make some changes in camera settings. Thanks for the reply!
Those snow tracks look really cool and the first tree seemed trippy idk why lol nice pics
