As far as I know, based on causality and the comments of others (in varying communities) inspiration is a large part of creating art. I experiment a lot with my work based on what I see in different communities. I also want to further expand on my abilities and design concepts.

What communities, websites, or methods do you use for inspiration?

Use Behance, Dribble, and Pinterest if you want to see industry standard work. Deviantart is alright and you have artstation.

I used Dribble once, seems weird to get used to I don't know why. I use Pinterest a lot more now before I start working on something. Will check out Behance and ArtStation tomorrow.

    Thank you both

    largely books and music

i check out a lot of showcase and fashion books from my unis library and listen to too much music, i highly recommend checking out books that suit ur interest from a library, to me they seem a lot easier to connect with, its more intimate to hold a print than to view a behance project, doesnt mean behance isn't a really cool place tho

i sometimes want to create a visual way of relating to a song i like

another thing is honestly my own work is inspiring to me

not only in a self centered way but also in a way that if i really like a result i get or enjoy the process of polishing a photo and i want to do it again but better i usually go and do that

same can be applied to graphic design

I honestly believe that 95% of people who view/comment on this thread have no idea what your piece even is but just comment saying "nice" and shit like that.

As a UI designer, I draw a lot of inspiration from Dribbble.
    Looking for long-term position.
