Nah it would only increase for one big server, it has to become something that developers sell for services which is reason amount depending on how hard and who's done it already
If only one rsps has got it then it won't bring rsps back except one server. Couple of the decent servers needs to have it and from there it will start off
That's what I think anyways
I'm not 100% sure about this but in my opinion they are losing value/interest because the point of a rsps was to emulate and/or customize servers, and what it ended up being after a while is washed out servers with lack luster content and old dry content.
Osrs got to the point where emulating near 100% is pretty hard for even some of the talented coders, and "ok" developers stood no chance. Now i dont speak for everyone, and alot of progress has been mad from what i have seen, but these are top tier servers and they still dont pull the numbers they need.
Furthermore we dont have a universally accepted server(base) on all revisions in 2018, back in 2009-2014 it was acceptable to have pretty shitty bugs, but now its not, and they still persist.
Just my opinion though.
Yes it has, and has been for some time now.
Owners are money hungry (Fury RSPS as perfect example), and the content is getting too old and nothing unique is being done besides mimicking the best of what osrs releases and even at that 98% of the rsps mimic is bugged/half assed.
Various other reasons as well, but yes it's dying.
Rsps for mobile is dumb, surely is nice to develop one, but useless. What are you going to do on it? Train a skill that’s way faster than on rs?
Rsps is not dying, this question has been asked every year and you always get mixed opinions.
To give you my perspective, rsps members have indeed become older, that doesn’t mean it’s dying, it only means there will be more professional servers with actual plans instead of “let’s make a server for fun”. Few legends have left the rsps scene, some came back, some didnt’t. But there’ll be always new people.
