Apple fanboy; iPhones don't offer as many benefits as newer Samsung phones, and the ability to customize the phone as much.
The iPhone 7 is pretty identical to the 6 because barely anything changed.. a removed button but a vibrating part of the display, with new iPhone skins :L..
Speaking from a standpoint of owning both sets of devices in the past, I generally prefer Apple. My first smartphone as a teenager was a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, but I eventually switched over to an iPhone 4. I used the iPhone 4 until the Samsung Galaxy S4 came out, used that for a few years, then switched back to an iPhone 7 Plus this past November. The only other phone I would consider is Asus' line of ZenFone.
The advantages that Android (inherently, Samsung) held over Apple were the easily removable and replaceable battery and the inclusion of a microSD slot, but those capabilities are heavily lacking nowadays.
I personally had a Galaxy S6 active for a while and loved it to death. When it stopped working, the S8 active wasn't out (still isn't, I don't believe) so I felt forced to go with the S8. Personally, I hate it. The screen is more fragile, and far easier to crack. I have a case and screen protector, which are supposedly the best for S8 (do not have the brand name on hand, as I've removed the case), and it has various issues, such as the phone not accepting input without hard-pushes and having to remove the case to access the audio port.
Not to mention, if you regularly share chargers with other people, you'll be unhappy to find out that it uses the USB-C cable for charging, and standard micro-usbs simple will not fit. Some may like the S8, but from a durable-phone-enthusiast's perspective, this thing is scary fragile.
I have a Galaxy S8 and don't encounter any of the issues you've come across.
I agree the screen is fragile, but if you put some attention and care to it, it'll be fine (screen protectors only protect from scratches).
About the hard push, works fine for me, and the audio thing is probably your case being too 'bulky', mine's perfectly fine.
You should be glad it's USB-C, works faster to charge, and also you've gotten in the box a small dongle to change USB-C to micro-USB for those who've had a previous Samsung charger.
