Im 22 years old and i weigh 260 + pounds. Im not im good shape at all. Yes, its mainly to me being addicted to games as a teenager. I want to change my life, i know i can do it, i just dont know how. I just want help on exercising and eating healthier. Anything will help because i feel so uneducated when it comes to this stuff.

Also i have a good question, how does someone that knows nothing about exercising/going to the gym, go to the gym, and actually get a good work out? I dont know how to work out but i really wanna start going to the gym.

there are a lot of guides online for beginners workouts. go to 4chan's fit board there is a good sticky there covering everything you'll need.

it is pretty much eating healthy and getting enough excersize.

do not make the following common mistakes:

do not go extremely hard thinking it will get you in shape faster. you'll lose motivation after roughly a week and never work out again.
eat healthy but dont cut out everything that is considered 'bad'. you need a cheat day or you're going to be a miserable person.

You could cut back on the food you eat, and go for a few jogs daily. It should help you lose weight.

What above said is some good advice.

If you got a good friend or family member you could always start going with them or join them, that's a good way to help keep yourself motivated without thinking about "I want to lose weight". It sounds stupid, but it's all about enjoying yourself. Now if you don't got anyone to go with hopefully you'll not be self conscious about yourself, since you're at least putting in an effort so just have some nice tunes on an MP3/Ipod with stuff that you like and make you feel happy.

Not going to go on and on about that, but there's also some fairly decent Youtube fitness channels that'll probably cover a majority of your questions.

Good luck with the goals, don't give up so quickly and think positive.

Buy shit like whole grain bread, oats, tuna, vegetables, crackers, fruit, and some lean cuts of meat. Things like greek yogurt help out a lot too. If you're not into boring diets, there's tons of ways to make cheap, healthy, and good tasting meals. You just need to dig up some research. Make food at home and actually put effort into making the food; don't just order a pizza and slob out while you play video games.

You also need to put in work at the gym. Mix a lot of cardio in with some weight training (if you're only looking to lose weight and not gain a lot of muscle), and stay consistent.

If money is an issue, you can eat pretty healthy for cheap; you just have to know what to buy. You can do a plethora of home workouts, and you can always go out for a jog daily.

Running, eating healthy, and home workouts are all you need. My friend was pretty chubby and all he did was run every other day, eat a little healthy, and home workouts like pushups, etc. He's ripped as fuck now. (He's asian so he eats a lot of rice).

70% is dieting to losing weight, cut out soda and junk food, and if you cant resist have a cheat day. If you love ice cream they have frozen greek yogurt which is extremely healthy and is low calories. Also DONT think that if you go to the gym you need to be there for several hours or you need to sweat in order to get a good work out, by simply putting 45 minutes to an hour at the gym can really help. Here are some websites to just get you started working out and get you in the habit

Welcome to the one hundred push ups training program follow that guide and it will really increase some strength for your chest

and here is one for pull ups

The Twenty Pull-ups Challenge | The Twenty Pull-ups Challenge <-- my little brother couldnt even do one pull at the begining and by the fourth week he was doing 5, which is great progress.

Most importantly DONT be embarrassed at the gym, you are at the gym to work out and better yourself, if anyone gives you looks, just face away because people just look at others at the gym to examine routines and progress.

Here is a great place to actually build a program for yourself Bodybuilding.com - Find A Plan - Bodybuilding.comBodybuilding.com - Find A Plan - Bodybuilding.com I personally have learned a lot from these videos, and they all meet different standards. Ive taken the liberty to actually find you one in case you dont feel like finding one yourself (as i know it is difficult to actually start) Bodybuilding.com - Lee Labrada's 12-Week Lean Body Trainer

Since you are starting out I really wouldnt suggest buying many many supplements, get a feel for how your body acts in the gym. I do suggest to get energy super-B complex it gives you much energy and will really kick you in gear if you try to start working out, any question let me know

Also go on instagram and try to find some body builders and follow them as they give their routines and tips every so often and helps you gain insight on what to try differently for instance > https://www.youtube.com/user/iLiftBrah/videos

Hope this helps you at all!
