Media Player Classic Home Cinema x86 / Media Player Classic Home Cinema (x86/x64) - XvidVideo.RU
    Haali Media Splitter / http://haali.su/mkv/MatroskaSplitter.exe
    madVR / http://madshi.net/madVR.zip

    1. Uninstall all codec packs, previous installations of the aforementioned, and the like.
    2. Reboot
    3. Install MPC-HC with default options. Do not keep any previous settings.
    4. Install Haali Media Splitter with all options checked except enabling AVI support and the association of files with Windows Media Player.
    5. Extract "madVR.zip" into "madVR" in your "C:\Program Files (x86)" directory.
    6. Double-click "install.bat" in the "madVR" directory you just populated.
    7. Start MPC-HC, go to "View" -> "Options..." -> "Playback" -> "Output" and select "madVR" under "DirectShow Video".
    8. Go to "Subtitles", set "Sub pictures to buffer" to "0", set "Maximum texture resolution" to "Desktop", and uncheck "Round up to the power of two".
    9. Go to "Internal Filters", uncheck the "Matroska", "MP4/MOV", "MPEG PS/TS/PVA", and "Ogg" source filters, and uncheck the "MPEG-2 Video", "MPEG-2 Video (DXVA)", "H264/AVC (DXVA)", "H264/AVC (FFmpeg)", "VC1 (DXVA)", and "VC1 (FFmpeg)" transform filters. Save all changes by clicking on "OK".
    10. Play a video file, go to "Play" -> "Filters", click on "madVR Renderer", and click on "Edit Settings".
    11. Go to "processing" -> "decoding" and check "decode VC-1".
    12. Go to "scaling algorithms" and select "Spline" with "4 taps" in all three submenus
    13. Go to "rendering" -> "general settings" and check "disable desktop composition".
    14. (Optional) Display calibration with yCMS is highly recommended especially if you use a wide gamut display. This is done by selecting "calibrate this display by using yCMS" under "devices" -> [Display] -> "calibration" and filling out at least the "primaries / gamut measurements" table on the "yCMS" page. If you do not have a hardware calibrator, but you do have an ICC profile, you can acquire at least the XYZ values for red, green, blue, and white by using an application such as ICC Profile Inspector - ICC Profile Inspector - and double-clicking on rXYZ, gXYZ, bXYZ, and wtpt, respectively. Change the format from Yxy to XYZ and fill out as appropriate. Click on "save".
    15. Apply all changes and start watching some 10-bit H.264.

    [AUDIO]

    foobar2000 / foobar2000

    1. Install
    2. Add components as you see fit. The ones you need are almost always available on the official site (Monkey's Audio for .ape, TAK decoder for .tak, etcetera). TAU Software - The World of True Audio - True Audio Codec Software has the TTA decoder component.
    3. Search Hydrogenaudio / Hydrogenaudio Forums -> 3rd Party Plugins - (fb2k) for additional components.

This will help you play 10-bit encodings. If you don't feel like bothering the [VIDEO] part you can just install CCCP.
