I got asked what book I last read at an interview. My mind raced hard, couldn't actually remember. So I tried to read one book per week starting in summer. I had kept it up throughout all of summer but started failing as soon as university started. If you have an ereader/kindle/ipad devices that can read ebooks its very handy. I still read more often than I used to. My recommendations:

    - Anything by Haruki Murakmi
    - 1984
    - Hiroshima

I don't recommend reading self-improvement books. Biggest waste of time. Most of the books can be summed up in a few pages, but they just dragged on.
I don't read self-improvement books but I do like the books from old philosophers.

A few books that i would recommend:

    • Thus Spoke Zarathustra - Nietzsche
    • On the Origin of the Species, Evolution by Natural Selection & other Mechanisms - Darwin, Wallace et al

Their not exactly 'literature' but they present philosophical/scientific meanings in gorgeous literature.

Just finished the 6th Wheel of Time book, had some delays due to exam and work!

The book gets quite dull half way through (I can confirm, 6th book was not as exciting), but gets really good towards to the end according to the reviews.

I just finished the Harry Potter series for the 9th time in a row. Currently reading the LoTR book.

I'd recommend 'This Dark Endeavor', brilliant book & a great read.
