Even that doesnt work, i got tagged in my post, even though we shared rune-server profiles and everything, which i put in the post. Was told i still couldn't post it because there was no messages inside of rune-server that verified that a transaction happened. only small info was shared in rune-server than it was moved to discord. but when coming to doing work, 95% of everybody does it all in discord, most people are not willing to run into rune-server after already talking about it to just confirm that a transaction is going on from this specific community. I honestly think they should look into some type of function, like fiverr in example, that can set up the jobs within the server here, have the client pay and hold that money while the developer runs the course and after the work is done, can be released. would curb a lot of scamming, as payment is upfront and held for the developer before work starts. but that could be a lot of work to code into and get secure so i understand why that hasnt been done yet. maybe as a separate project to make, and I'd even be willing to pitch to it with my web skills as to curb these scammers, something this community has lost so much money that could of gone to better development.

rune-server isn't a trading platform like fiverr is.

sending a confirmation private message isn't exactly much of a chore, especially for something like a dev position which isn't just a simple exchange of goods.
the method is there and users still don't bother, adding someone else is still going to get ignored by some users and result in the same thing happening

that being said, with the forum-discord integration the requirement of a forum PM should probably be extended to discord, as long as both users are verified and linked to a forum account.

Extending Discord into the forum even further is actually in the works.

It's the ideal idea, but just something that wouldn't ever be implemented into Rune-Server, though rune-server could make money out of doing it by taking fees/percentages of transactions, and overall providing a much more secure envrionment.. But that's in an ideal world

Personally don't understand why people scam anyways, maybe if you're younger, but full grown adults (as most of us are nowdays on here) is just low..

most these people dont have standards and pride in their work. you can tell which servers actually have pride in their work. scammers use this as an easy platform to make easy money and its sad.

I would be happy to join in on a project like this, if more people are willing to make something like that, take like 10% fee off the top of every transaction or something, it would be better paying that little fee to have some sort of security when purchasing services.

Yeah very true idk just don't get it myself like it's jus scummy..

I don't think it could ever happen, unless a group of people were to make a seperate website similar to fiverr for transactions to go through for services, I'm sure someone could set something like this up, but it's if they would be credible holding all that money etc too that you have to watch out from, so it's still a tricky process..

yeah i think the hardest part of it would be the backend and business factor of it all. someone would have to have the credit and bank to support this kind of operation. coding factors wouldn't be too hard to do, ive done similar systems, it just be more so about securing it and getting someone to back it. would be a worthy adventure if people were wanting this.
