Thread: Need Help Solving Some Algebra Problems. (Substitution. System of Equations.)

1. Y = 3x + 11
Y = -2x + 1

2. 4x - Y = -12
-6x + 5Y = -3

3. Y = 5x - 8
5Y = 2x + 6

4. 8x = -2Y - 10
2x = 4Y

I would honestly help you, But i am just way to lazy to do the math.

2. 4x - Y = -12

Code:

	20x - 5y = -60
	-6x + 5y = -3

	14x = -63
	x = -63/14

	4(-63/14) - y = -12
	-252/14 - y = -12
	-18 + 12 = y
	y = -6

3. Y = 5x - 8
5Y = 2x + 6

Code:

25x - 40 = 2x + 6
	23x = 46
	x = 2

	y = 5(2) - 8
	y = 2

There's 4 (pretty sure) methods for doing these, pretty simple.
