Hi... Most people aren't aware that drinking coffee can be an addiction.
I've been drinking coffee excessively since I was 14.

Now if I don't have a Coffee at least 3 times a day, I get a Headache, Heartburn and mild to moderate depression.

If I drink coffee daily I'm normal and sometimes it can be my anti-depressant.
    I know it's a stimulant but still.

How many of you are addicted to Coffee?

I do like having a cup of tea or two occasionally but that's it.

Not something to be considered important here but you're rather physically dependent on it than 'addicted'. Addiction is when you cant stop yourself consuming something despite knowing that it's bad for you.
I'd say you should try hitting the gym (exercise boosts neurotransmitters) and try reducing the amount you drink gradually.

Tea and coffee are great for starting up the engine.exe in the morning cause we all know sometimes the shit doesn't wanna work.

I just bought a brand new kurig that was on sale for 80$ from 180. So was a great deal and investment (It also has the foam making thing)

Yeah, you might be right... I should drink less of it, but it makes me happier to always have it on me... I think I'm going to have to buy a bulk supply of Orange Juice Powder to substitute some of my coffee for juice...
In the past I have cut down this way...
Until then I am definitely dependant on my coffee... lol.

We aren't in 2010 anymore Coffee addiction is a well known problem!

I gotcha mate I always try to limit my caffeine consumption to a cup of strong coffee once in a while. It can be vicious sometimes! I started drinking tea 2 months ago and I get a similar effect to caffeine but it's way more clear on the mind.

    I prefer tea 100% now.

I usually make coffee at least once per day at home three or four days out of the week, and I visit one of the coffee shops every Friday or Saturday morning on my way to work. I would hardly say that I am addicted to coffee, but I am certainly addicted to caffeine. I figure that if I must pick my poison, caffeine is a much lesser detriment than other options.

On a more serious note, this sounds like it could be related to something else. I would wager to say that your dependence on coffee (or caffeine, as it may be) is potentially a chemical imbalance that is 'cured' (via caffeine placebo effect) with coffee. I would speak with someone about that, personally.

I would definitely classify myself as dependent on coffee as I drink 1-3 cups a day. I would not be able to program for a lengthy period of time without it .

I normally have 1-2 cups in the mornings. When I drive long distances I also have like 1-2 XL size cups.

I don't know if you noticed, but there is also a difference in the mornings. When I did not drink coffee it was much easier to wake up in the mornings. Now when I wake up I need the coffee to actually wake up otherwise I will be sleepy for several hours.
    Thanks, Kevin.

Wow. That kind of Headache would suck to have during Ramadan... I guess it's the time when you get all addictions out of your system... But it would be a struggle.
That's what I notice too... When I have a withdrawal from Coffee, drinking a cup an hour later gets rid of the headache.
