Allow me to shed some light on my hurtful comment since I seem to have upset you:

If you do any market activities on Rune-Server or RSPS communities, expect to get scammed. This isn't a "public advisory" to anyone. I apologize that you're new to the community and business but it's a common occurrence most here have learned to look out for.

In the future, only deal with reputable people who have seen more than $77 in their days. You aren't warning people of anything, you haven't even described how you were scammed, or the person that scammed you!

I don't understand how this could have helped anyone, or how you don't feel foolish looking back at this.

I did warn people of what happened however a staff member removed it lol

I will add it back into the post.

    How this will help people:
It will make people double think before sending any payment across or hiring people for work, and how will I look foolish by trying to spread awareness, you should be the one feeling foolish over how inconsiderate you are.

This is something I'd like to bring to everyone's attention.
It isn't every day you get scammed, but when it is it's a terrible, dehumanising feeling.

If you ever do a trade or a service. Make sure that you meet them half way. Or use a trusted middleman.
If you ever feel like something is a bit off, double check with them, or ask a friend / trusted member.
Think before you trade, such as: If someone only ever accepts OSRS GP, just remember once the trade has been accepted, nothing can be revoked.

Please be aware that even people close to you will / can scam you, even friends in real life. People do extraordinary things over little > a lot of money.

    How I got scammed:
'Person 1 said he can do a service, as I didn't have many vouches he asked me to go first, I said of course. He then followed that with he only accepts OSRS GP, I didn't think much of it at the time but thinking back once the GP is traded it can't be revoked, make sure you get a MM for GP trades and so on'

I am simply looking out for the community, I lost $77 which isn't a lot, but to some people that's more than they can afford.

I hope this has brought it more to your attention.

    Regards, Zenia.
That sucks, In future always make sure you do your research on the person you have doing work for you. Also a lot of legitimate developers use OSRS or BTC as a preferred payment is because majority of the users they do services for charge back the funds.

Sorry for your losses but think of it as a lesson well learnt - honestly this kind of stuff is the reason I left the RSPS community in the first place.

The amount of money you have doesn't determine your reputability. Anybody can scam anyone at any time regardless of numbers, stop kidding yourself.

You aren't warning people of anything,
Hundreds of users use the market section every single day, and based on my experience as a moderator there's at least a dozen scamming reports every week or two. Obviously there are people unaware that Rune-Server is filled with scammers trying to outscam other scammers.

you haven't even described how you were scammed,
    Irrelevant to his message.

or the person that scammed you!
    Against the rules..

    So then who scammed you?

It is not against the rules to explain who he was scammed by. It's only actually against the rules to accuse someone of scamming without proof.

Unless the user was already convicted and banned for scamming (which he isn't yet) then it is against the rules. Plain and simple, it's libel/slander.

It's only actually against the rules to accuse someone of scamming without proof.
Even if you have all the proof in the world, you don't post it in the public forums, you post it in the scamming report section.

I've been a part of this community for going on 12 years and moderated it as well. I'm fairly confident I know how the rules work dude.

Thread title is a oxymoron then.

Dunno why you're so fucking sad it's only $77.00 as you claim. Cheer the fuck up and go make more $$. The idiot that most likely scammed you is broke as fuck right now anyways.

Nobody is trusted here, you haven't met any of us so what deems us trustworthy? is it our Join date/Post count or reputation that people abused years ago? Just because someone has all those accolades doesn't deem them trustworthy.

Firstly if someone doesn't do the service first clearly they are scamming you. But I forgot you lot of kids use teamviewer and shit to code since the vast majority here actually think people want their horrid source code.

How many times do you have to keep repeating yourself? You literally could've made this thread with one sentence saying. "M8's don't trade on rune-server the site is toxic and filled with teenagers the likelihood of getting scammed here is high."

Why are you even paying people for services anyways? Why are you trusting someone to implement code into your server? Clearly your knowledge in java is quite low. For example if I did a service for you I would screw you over to make you pay me again and again. Yeah I'd add what you want but I'm going to add something that will make your server run like shit too. Then you'll be paying me to fix that issue because you have no idea where it came from or what's going on. You're a prey, anyone that buys service from Rune-Sever of all places deserves to get scammed imo.

Congrats bro, A measly $77.00 one of my m8s recently just got scammed from a former veteran / staff of this community for over $500.00 and they had a 10+ year friendship. Which is why I said your thread is a oxymoron, you even admitted you cannot fully avoid getting scammed.

Thanks for the shit we already knew mate! I know you're trying to look out for the community but srsly this is common sense. But anyways I'm going to give you some rep for effort, I'm not that much of a douche.
