Since my server sells RSPS items and this is a RSPS community. I thought I should post a thread about my Paypal account to see maybe you guys have been through this as well.
Long Story:
About 2 years ago, I had 2 paypal accounts and I used them for my server. Then about 6 months later, i stopped hosting rsps's and decided to focus more on my university. Recently I came back to hosting rsps's but i forgot the passwords to my old paypal accounts so I opened a new one. I got about 2k$+ in donations and luckily I was able to send abut 1.7k$ to my bank account before paypal limited my account.
When i called paypal, they told me its limited because my account is linked with 2 accounts that have a negative balance. they told me i had to pay the negative balances with a credit/debit card and after i payed them, they told me it will take them 72 hours to review.
72 hours later, they decided to keep my account limited and their reason was because my account had too many disputes/claims and i was not safe for paypal.
Last week,i decided to create another 2 paypal accounts just to test them out. 1st one had about 50$ in transactions but i spent some of it on services i bought and currently has 3$ in it. the other one, i got recent donations which total about 850$. I remember getting a call from Paypal 4 days ago asking me what I am selling because they want info of their users. I told them it's a hobby and i sell virtual items.
I even went and opened a new bank account for this current paypal address.
Short Story:
Today I wake up and my account is limited and the reason being: My account shares the same information as another account that has issues.

The thing is, I opened 2 new paypal accounts. One which current has 3$ and one that has 850$. The one with the most money is limited and the one with the least is not limited..
What do I do? How can I resolve this situation? Will I get my money back? Did Paypal just fuck me over again?
Anyone have a similar story they can share?

We always perform a thorough investigation before deciding to initiate the closure of an account. However, we appreciate that from time to time misunderstandings can happen. Your account balance during the account closure period:
This decision means we must oversee the appropriate movement of any money currently in your account. A gradual approach to account closure allows us to part ways, while considering any liabilities that may arise. Our aim is to review any valid buyer claims lodged against you. We must allow enough time for claims to be filed as these can take several months to be reported and resolved.
How will the process work?
We’ll hold any money currently in your account in accordance with section 2 below. We do this because it provides sufficient time for most claims, such as chargebacks, to be filed by other parties. These claims can result in financial loss. If your account balance is below zero, you’ll have to settle the amount owing on your account to avoid further action.
Our first review at 30 days from the date of this email will calculate our exposure and we’ll release any excess funds to you at that time for withdrawal. We’ll communicate this to you at the time. This review can result in 3 different outcomes as detailed in sub-sections 2(1)-(3) below. We’ll always communicate the outcome of our reviews to you.
We’ll release your entire remaining balance to you for withdrawal. Please note that if you choose not to withdraw the money at that point we reserve the right to re-coup any money at the next review; or
We’ll release a part of your remaining balance to you. If this is the case we’ll inform you about how much money can be withdrawn. We’ll then conduct another review 30 days later that will repeat the process detailed under section 2; or
We won’t release any funds to you if we deem our exposure to be greater than or equal to your available balance.
Your account may be reviewed up to 5 times; at 30 day intervals until day 180 from the date of this email. If any money remains in your account at day 180 it will be made available for withdrawal at that point.
Accounts with a balance owing to PayPal:
If your account shows an amount owing to us, you must add funds to ensure that the balance returns to zero. Please note that we reserve the right to recover the amount by legal means.
A copy of our User Agreement can be found by clicking Legal at the bottom of any PayPal page. Our right to close your PayPal account, and the retention of funds, are covered in our User Agreement under sections 10.2 and 10.3.

You provided information that we believe was false, inaccurate, or misleading; or
You sent or received payment that was potentially related to fraudulent activity; or
You have more than one account with a negative balance; or
You are in violation of the User Agreement, the Commercial Entity Agreement, the Acceptable Use Policy, or another agreement you have with PayPal.
Our decision was based on terms outlined in these agreements.
Because of this, we've limited your accounts and can no longer offer our services to you. You'll still be able to log in to view your transaction history, but you won't be able to send or receive payment.[/spoil]
They tell me they need to close my account unless my buyers want to do a dispute. I have 0 disputes in my resolution centre. My acccess to refunding my transactions have been taken away from me and I asked a donator to open a dispute but he was unable.
Yeah definitely give them a call. Typically to open your account back up you need proof of drivers license and all that. That's how I got mine resolved. If it's not telling yo that then give them a call
