Because people think it's something it's not.

    1. It's spreads the same way AIDS/HIV would; through bodily fluids. It is NOT an airborne disease.
    2. There is ONE confirmed case in the United States.
    3. There has only been 3,300 confirmed deaths as of September 28th, 2014.

This is not a worldwide outbreak that will leave 10s/100s of thousands of people dead, stop treating it at such. It is overhyped by the media, and especailly overhyped by uninformed brainwashed civilians like yourself.

How the fuck is a disease a social trend you might ask? Well, let's look at some statistics here.
"The first recorded outbreak of EBD occurred in Southern Sudan in June 1976. A second outbreak soon followed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (then Zaire).[106] Virus isolated from both outbreaks was named Ebola virus after the Ebola River, located near the Zaire outbreak.[107] Although it was assumed that the two outbreaks were connected, scientists later realized that they were caused by distinct species of filoviruses, Sudan virus and Ebola virus.[106]"

So it started around late 1970s.

Now let's look at Google Trends:

Hmm, if you look closely at that, all the search results were basically in September and October. Why has the virus been around for so long, but people have all of a sudden started to care? Because it's one of those things that EVERYONE is talking about. Therefore, it is definitely a trend. BECAUSE if you know the defintion of a trend it is: "(of a topic) be the subject of many posts on a social media website within a short period of time." Definitely the case.

And lastly, to take my point home, I'll just leave this picture here:

Ebola honestly hasnt killed or affected anyone that much. Yes people have died oops my bad, several hundreds if not thousands die daily from other diseases like cancer or other things.

Should I feel bad for peoples losses well thats debatible did they care for my family when my close cousin died from cancer? No one cared except my family yeah people said we are so sorry but they didnt really mean it since they didnt know him. I eventrually got over it and he was an younger brother to me so yeah i get it family dies they feel sad big whoop. The important thing here is Ebola isnt a concern and 99% it most likely will never be a threat to us.

Back on topic: Who cares about the Ebola media is trying to make it bigger then it really is. Should spend more time curing cancer then wasting time curing a none threating disease to most intelligent humans.

If it starts spreading rapidly outside of Africa I would then be concerned. Until then it seems like a lot of speculation and media fear mongering is occuring. One case in the states that manifested isn't a cause for alarm, nor is the new case in Spain. But, if suddenly tomorrow there were 20 new cases of it in the states (While this has a small possibility due to the Dallas man having close contact with a lot of people, it's very unlikely. I have faith in basic personal hygiene amongst the population, but I could be wrong ) then there may be a reason for some concern.

Ebola as far as I know only spreads once the carrier is displaying a few of the symptoms as well, and I believe they are monitoring most of the people the Dallas man had close contact with (his family, etc).

While I don't trust the developed nations governments of the world with a lot of things, I do trust them not to make mistakes with this. But even then, Ebola isn't airborne, it's not like the common flu or anything, if you yourself take necessary precautions you would have nothing to worry about.

Africa is very very different from developed nations. It's very tradition based in it's science and medicine in the smaller villages and towns. I wish the Africans who are really trying to contain it and putting their lives on the line to try and fix this all the best.

Again, resorting to insults instead of facing the facts. Love it.

Get the fuck off the internet if you don't want to get outsmarted. Actually get the fuck off of anything cause you're too braindead to hold a valid argument.
