Hey so it's my birthday coming up (yaaay ) and my folks said they'd get me a 4th generation Ipod touch. It's the 16gb one, and they've said that if I pay £40, they'll get me the 32gb one. I've currently got a 8gb and it's not too bad but it doesnt let me have tv episodes on it without taking up a lot of space meaning I can't get many apps.

Is the 32gb worth the £40 that I would have to pay?

    Post your opinions, cheers!

Jailbreaking it will make it very slow, trust me. If you have a big taste in music then I'd say the 32gb, because out of the 4 iDevices I've had in the past 4 years I've found that music takes a massive chunk of your space up.

Clearly you don't know how to jailbreak, if you do it PROPERLY is won't slow it down at all.

My friend jailbroke his and I disliked it

But i'm getting the feeling that the 32GB would be best? I'm not like made of money but I could probably afford the 40, especially seen as I'll be getting money from friends for my birthday

Do you know how jailbreak works? An illegal process is constantly running on your iPod for it to not connect to iTunes and all the other shit, so all those illegal stuff are constantly running and slowing down your iPod dramatically

lol wtf no. my iphone is jailbroken and is fine. my ipod is 64gb and jailbroken, full and is very slow due to it being full, however, you need the extra memory on Apple devces as apps are quite large and they do increasingly get larger as you own the device

Jailbreaking is like a computer virus; the virus must ALWAYS be running in the background for it to work when you want, and the same goes for Jailbreaking, and the jailbreak process running in the background of your device will really slow down performance. Maybe not straight away, but after time it will
