Hi,
I am making a 2006 runescape remake server, but is there any point seeing as Vaults server will be open soon. For obvious reasons, my remake will be no where near as good as his.
Should I carry on? Or just give up?

Why would you give up, though most remakes never make it anyway.
No, there isn't any point. RS2006 is very far and I think there is 4 others atm. We don't need more. I say convert it into a different type of server, keep you're work though, don't get rid of it.

Sure go ahead, sooner or later your remake might become more popular, because Vault is planning to add 2007 crap such as clan chats, buttons... Basically it won't stay the original 2006.
And if you want players, just make a remake with private server benefits (free teleports, faster xp rate, better loot)
Don't give up. Most remakes don't make it, so make sure yours does.
make it
People can influence your opinions, but it is your server, so you can do whatever you want. Sure, 2006 remakes are getting old, but so are shitty 317s loading 600+ shit, and I don't like all that 500+ shit either.
