Thread: Runescape wont load in any browser

Here is my situation, my house just burnt down a little over a month ago and I just got my computer back. My first time running it I could not get RuneScape to load. When I click on "Play Now -> Existing" it shows the "Done" text at the bottom left of the screen, and just stays at a black screen. I tried doing the following:

Uninstall Java
Uninstall FireFox
Reinstall Java
Reinstall FireFox
System Tools -> Clean Disk
System Restore
-

Yet nothing seems to fix this problem, I'm Running a Dell Windows 7 (x86). Also as I am typing this it is lagging when I type. What should I do? Also let me add that this problem occurs in EVERY internet browser. I need to some how speed up my computer and get this RuneScape to work. If you have a solution please explain it to me in a more "Noob Friendly" type of way as I am not a custom to computers as much as others.

Download JAVA, or the required addon?

Did you install the latest JDK? JaGeX requires a firefox plug-in to play RuneScape.

I tried Safari, Google Chrome, IEX, FireFox. i have latest java too

yes, everything worked fine and when i get my computer back a month later everything is messed up. this is a brand new windows 7 dell.. this shouldnt happen, something is messing this up.

no nothing is changed with it. all they did when they got it is cleaned it with like soap and water to get the smoke damage off it. nothing to do with something inside the computer
