First off: Do not read this if you're a moron.

Ok, this is why you cannot travel backwards in time (into the past) to change a fixed point in death.

We're going to be using the example of Hitler. The person trying to kill Hitler was born in 2004, 70 years after Hitler came to power (1934).

Now, in 2004, the man (Let's call him Joe) cannot go back to 1934 and kill Hitler.

Why? Because when Joe gets back to 1934, the moment he kills Hitler, then the Joe in 2004 (this is the future now, remember!) would have had no reason to go back and kill Hitler, because the Joe in 1934 would have already killed Hitler before he did any damage?

Well, this is one of the possibility's but there is a lot of debate on this paradox ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]), i think the parallel universes is most likely

Ok but lets assume for the moment that parallel universes do not exist, rendering my theory the most accurate (I think).

You have to realise that we're constantly "time travelling" into the future, and always looking in the past.

OT: It's called the grandfather paradox.

^there's a humorous look at time travel while still bringing up valid points.

OT: If time travel was possible, someone from the future would have came back and told us already. The only way time travel would work is if this was a single universe where we are the only point in time progressing.

Basically, we should be the only existing point in time. The first graph should be the 'right' way if time travel is ever possible.

But now that i think of it, if time travel is ever possible, we would be creating another point in time proving my theory wrong. Excuse my invalid argument. I'm going to go treat my brain as it is full of fuck at the moment.

But if jarbas theory is correct, than someone from the future would not come back as he has already done it.
