Banning Dynamic IP?

Hey guys,

I will be buying the latest vBulletin soon and i wanted to know the quality of their banning system.

If you ban someone with a dynamic IP, then their IP changes (as they do) will they still be banned? Or is there better forum software which will do the job?

Interesting topic, anyone know?

Nope.

Dynamic IP's don't get banned automatically by VB. You have to do 1 by 1 by yourself.

If one of the ip is like 5.55.555.555, you can try banning 5.55.555.*, but that will probably innocent people too.

That's the only thing you can do against dynamic ips.

Hardware ban? :coolface:

I know games like WarRock have hardware bans, it bans ur MAC adress (which u can change btw l0l)

Not all kids are smart enough to change it.

Have a special "Banning Crew." Basically they show up at there house at night and ban them.. forever.
