This how it's gunna work you go to this site : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] complete the test it's not going to be an acurate speed typing test. but if anyone who takes part uses it we should be able to get a decent idea of who's the fastest. take a SCREENSHOT of you're typing speed, CROP IT, upload and paste.

This was on my second attempt then got fed up.

First shot, the last word starting when it reloads annoyed me.

    I'll take another shot later.

First try, I tried it 3 more times and they were all around 2000 .

Edit: This is 97 WPM. If it was an actual sentence structure (not random words) everyone would have a higher WPM.

I strongly agree with this point.

Other factors would be the short wait when it's loading new words.

The best advice I'd give, is be relaxed. I use to be a student teacher in a typing class at my college. Having a good posture can boost your wpm more than you'd expect.

Something like the image above. I never sit like that unless I'm taking a typing test, because when you're doing something like an FPS game it doesn't help to be in good stance lol.

This is inaccurate, because if you're actually typing, you already know what you're going to type when in this case you have to look on the screen and read it.

No, it's accurate. Other typing tests are the same idea except they're in an actual sentence like.
The word "astronaut" derives from the Greek words meaning "star" and "sailor." These men and women -- Alan Shepherd, John Gleenn, Jr., Sally Ride, to name a few -- conjure up images of bravery and adventure. They are modern heros, helping humanity reach for the stars.

    Not

It's accurate for secretaries copying down forms, but not for a programmer.
