So, prior to this I've always used prebuilt desktops. Most recently though, I've used no desktop at all; Just a shitty Lenovo laptop. Well tax time comes around, and I'm caught up on my personal finances so I figure, it's time I treat myself. I wanted to start gaming on PC, having played only PS4 for years when it comes to FPS and pretty much anything not runescape. Well, here it is! I purchased most everything from our local micro center so I didn't have to deal with a bunch of shipping arrangements. Price got a little steep at points, but nothing too heavy. MY BIGGEST REGRET is the Motherboard. It's shit. But it works, just not great at overclocking ram, and I'd prefer my full ram speeds especially with a Ryzen CPU. So that'll have to be attended to. Anyhow, desk/chair, speakers, mount and a few other things were purchased from Amazon. total was around $3,000-3,100.
You can find the PC part picker list right here. [The GPU is listed over $1,000 from Amazon, I payed $800 at Micro Center.]

Quick specs.
AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
Asus - TUF X470-PLUS GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard
G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB WINDFORCE OC Video Card
NZXT - H500 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair - CXM 750 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Cooler Master - MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
(ENDED UP USING WRAITH-PRISM THAT CAME WITH CPU - Read too many reviews on leaks from this, not planning on overclocking and my CPU still doesn't exceed 70+ degrees so no need. So this just sits in the closet lol)
And here are the few pics I've taken! I need to do better cable management. But it's still early . I built this over the weekend, and everything is running smooth. Except, I can't get my ram above 2133mhz... This is really annoying but overall the performance still is phenomenal..

Nice setup dude, I got the same background lol it's sweet
Thanks y’all! Well, I’m doing a school work, gaming and some programming. Maybe I’ll dive into some video editing or graphics in the future, who knows 😁
