Thank you . And to answer your question, Windows 10 wasn't officially released until the day after I made this thread .
Spoiler for ScapeRune's definition of success:

Don't upgrade to Windows 10. A lot of people are having issues like myself. I recommend waiting a little while (1-2 months) and wait to see if they fix a view bugs.

One problem I have is a BSOD: INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR after about 30 seconds of logging in. This is one of the most common issues with Windows 10. (Due to display drivers)

That's an overkill on ram tho, or did you do that on purpose for future parts.

Windows 10 only has a slighty higher performance over windows 8 so it doesn't really matter.

I've had hardly any stability issues with Windows 10 thus far.

I'm a really heavy multitasker, so I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

Really nice setup, but I don't understand why people go for quad ram on the z97 chipset.
Because it only supports dual channel, imo if you need the 32gb ram for daily use, you should have gone with the x99 chipset.
Btw your desk looks really clean, love it

Thank you . There is no performance difference between quad channel and dual channel memory, so I don't see a problem with it. At this point however, if I wanted to upgrade my CPU or RAM in this rig, I'd have to take the X99 route.

No difference is not entirely true, it depends on what you do.
For gaming, no it won't make a difference.
But since you've 32 gb ram, and 60hz monitors, I guess the primary job of this pc is not gaming.

As you can see, there's a difference in benchmarks.
Difference is small, but depending on what you do, it could save some time.

You're right that the primary use isn't gaming However, it's not enough of a difference to affect real world performance in any meaningful way. With that being said, I'm waiting til Skylake-E is released before I upgrade to X99 (or the next enthusiast chipset).
