I have my first PC that I put together

    Specs:

    • Corsair Carbide 200R
    • ASRock Extreme4 Z77
    • Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4Ghz
    • Corsair Vengeance LP 2 x 4gb
    • Gigabyte GTX650 Ti 2gb oc
    • Western Digital Blue 1TB
    • FSP Aurum 750w
    • LG optical drive

    Spoiler for Images:

Running Windows 8 atm, I don't mind it since I installed Start8 and it's freakishly fast too. Only problem is that some programs/games don't work.

Future upgrades may include an SSD (probably not needed) and a big fat heat shrink for CPU. Anything after that would be peripherals.. another monitor, new keyboard and mouse, webcam etc.

All up so far cost me about $1100 usd (I live in NZ, everything here is dearer) but I am very happy and can't wait to game

SSD is very good to get for OS and applications, but I don't suggest using it for games since it does a lot of writing and it uses the memory cells fast.

I really don't see the need for it now, Win8 is fast enough as it is. I regret not going for a black series hdd but even still this thing is faster than anything I've had - so I'm happy.

Startup time is about 15 - 20 seconds. I'm not impatient to this sort of thing either.

    Yea, it's reasonable for boot.

If i were you, i would have saved more money and bought GTX670.
Also, 750w? Why? It won't even use near as that much unless you will be getting two graphics cards. So that was a little waste of money.
500w would have been great, also Super Flower all the way.

Extreme4 is great, have heard much good about it.
But these are my opinions, you have done what you wanted. Also since this is your first setup, it looks good.
Take some pictures of the actual PC and inside of it maybe?
    I like it!

It was hard to find a decently priced graphics card, a GTX670 is twice the price of mine and the 650 plays fine for me (a new'ish pc gamer). Yes the power supply is a bit much, but I had to make my pc look pretty and shit.
On a good day I am getting 10 seconds boots to login so an ssd is no longer in mind. Instead I will grab a cpu cooler and some new peripherals.
Will pop some pictures up soon of the actual pc..

you really don't know how useful an SSD is its not just boot time

it is probably the best upgrade you can make to a computer
