Just build a windows and save yourself tons of trouble.

Although I despise the price of Mac computers, I do tend to love the software for basic media manipulation. Regardless of how much I love the Mac platform, I refuse to pay the high price of the computer, simply because it has the Apple logo on it.
That being said, I considered building a Hackintosh, which is essentially a non-Apple computer that is built to run Apple software. I love the idea of a Hackintosh in comparison to traditional Mac's because of the availability for upgrade. There are few aspects of a Mac that can be changed, but anything on a standard computer can be replaced. On top of all this, I could get twice the performance for the same price as a low-level iMac. I'll take it!
Here's my dilemma - I would need a .dmg file of the current operating system. I'm assuming that once I get macOS installed for the first time, I'll be able to update the software without issue, but getting it for the first time could be a project in itself. Would anyone be able to send me this file, or is it even possible to retrieve? I've looked online for any sort of download, but most Hackintosh-related resources are cracked versions of the official resources, which I don't want. I wanted to try an official release before resorting to improper software.
Thank you in advance!

I already built my Windows computer and am currently planning my next, this Hackintosh is just a side project. I recognize that it might be a bit of trouble, but it'd be neat to see where the project takes me.
Besides, if you only ever work with easily understood concepts, you'll never learn anything! I want to make some discoveries with this project, as I've already built a few computers and am more knowledgeable.
Otherwise, thanks for the feedback!
Off the topic related. If you were to build the 'Hackintosh' i would like to see your build progress in a thread, because i think it would be cool too see. Either way good luck, have fun.
No one will upload 4gb+ dmg/iso/vmware image, try public trackers
try

Will do! I have to upgrade my primary rig first, but as soon as that one's done, I'll probably start working on this one.
In regard to the .dmg file, my manager has a MacBook Pro, so I'll see if I can rip the file off his computer. If anyone else is interested, I could perhaps throw it one of my clouds.
