    I don't believe there is on windows 8.1. I tried f9, f8, f1 etc.

    Reinstall windows...?

Alternatively go into the BIOS (f2) and then select restore factory defaults.

Well, it really wasn't a solution. I remembered my computer came with a windows 8 disk. So i downgraded to windows 8, then the restore was easy because windows 8 doesn't require a backup point.

Did you have issues with 8.1? Since I updated from 8 to 8.1 I have been experiencing freezes with explorer.exe which are really annoying, I am still waiting for an update from ms on this. Oh and just so you know the boot menu is accessed by pressing f2 quickly at the first logo screen.
