    Hi everyone,

I am currently building a PC for gaming and programming.

Could somebody review over my parts and if there's room for improvement on the price? Am I missing anything and will be parts be fine?

The build contains 2 graphics cards which I'm hoping will allow for an excellent gaming experience and I'm hoping the I3 is more than powerful enough for what a user might actually need?

    Thanks

two graphics cards won't really help you too much since not every game supports it and most run just fine. you're better off just getting a single one and investing in at least an i5 CPU (since the I3 atm seems to be your bottleneck). Also you'll probably end up overheating the PC without a better cooling system with 2x GPU's installed.

this is useless "two graphics cards" if you do that go for higher card than using 2 low profile card, also if you are going for gaming get and i5 (basically this is the good entry level) some game are cpu intensive.

change your i3 to i5 and go for 3060 or 3070 card (1660 is waste of money if you will double it)

As said above scrap the two GPU's and just get an improved one with the combined cost, i'd recommend getting an i5 too.

You can spend your money a lot better. This is better $:performance. I could give you a better build recommendation if you had some details about what refresh rate and resolution you're targeting, if you care about overclocking, if you need wifi, if you *actually* care about RGB, what kind of games you want to play or if you're building with a specific workload in mind. I think a build like this for example would be super overkill if you're only playing osrs / private servers.

Honestly check out http://reddit.com/r/buildapcforme for usually better opinions because people here are gonna have strong opinions, but most people don't give good PC building advice imo.

Thank you for the insight, I'll scrap the 2 GPU's and look into upgrading the CPU and or getting a better single GPU.

Woah, thanks dude, that looks so much better actually. The price is looking better too. Ideally, I want to budget as much as I can!

My gaming requirements aren't much, I play games like Valorant, Fortnite. I don't need WiFI - If I do, I could use a dongle? RGB isn't required either.

This would be the first time I'm ever going to build a PC and I would like it to be as easy as possible hence why stuff like RGB and liquid cooling isn't even going to be something I'll consider. Though, I do want to be able to upgrade all my components as of when needed.
For programming, I'll deffo need at a minimum 2 ethernet ports for the kind of work I do.

Could somebody explain the difference in CPUs?

The reason I chose the I3 in the first place because stuff like cores and clock speed but different models though have the same "number" attached to them is there a huge difference?

    Edit:

See the following, the cheaper one looks better?

"Really good performance for the price, equivalent to an i7-4770k"

I second everyone saying to get an i5. But I guess the better question in order for people to help you is you describe completely the use case of the computer.

For example, I made this very simple PC recently:

Because I know I, personally, don't ever game. However, I program a decent amount so I needed a nice processor. There is no power supply because I had one lying around.

It's not going to make a huge difference if he's targeting like 1080p60fps. So I don't think the i5 price is worth an extra $100 for fortnite/valorant which are going to run fine. i3-10100f or the 13-12100f is going to be sufficient as-is.
If you wanted to put more $$ into hardware I'd put it into the GPU. BUT, if I were you I'd rather spend that $ on a nice monitor (or 2) / games.
