Hello, i am in the Navy and in preparation for deployment on my submarine we want to setup what we call a liberty LAN. the idea is that it will contain a bunch of movies, music, offline wikipedia, etc. lots of things for us to have and keep us entertained while we are underwater and don't have internet access. My idea is to have a server on board that has a ton of memory to store everything and employ a localhosted web page that people can search for what they need (movies, music, etc) and either stream or download it from the server. I don't know what level of processing power, memory, etc i should be looking at. the most people that would be using it at a singular time wouldn't be more than 50. Most likely will be used by 20-35 at once regularly. Can anyone recommend me some hardware to look into? ideally i should also need it to pretty compact since we don't exactly have a ton of space on the sub. Do you maybe have a better idea for employment of this too? i'm open for recommendations if anyone has a better idea, being as i am more technically inclined than a lot of people on my boat i took up the responsibility of organizing this for my crew. Thanks!
