    Hello,

(full disclosure...The company DID send this out to me free of charge to review for them which is part of my other job but they did not ask me to say anything other than my genuine thoughts on this product.)

I am sharing this here today because of there may be some Microsoft surface users or potential users that are looking to buy one but are unaware of the cheaper and better value competition that is out there. If this is not allowed then that's fine

A company called Eve-Tech created a fundraising campaign to create a surface like a computer that offered a cheaper price tag than Microsoft's own but gave you more for the cheaper price. The fundraising campaign was hugely successful and got their goal in just 4 days.....with over 1,000 people involved in the creation of this thing.

    This unit spec:

    M3: Intel 7th Gen Core m3-7Y30
    M3: 8 GB LPDDR3
    M3: 128 GB PCIe SSD

    AC (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz)
    2x2 MU-MIMO
    Bluetooth 4.2
    Miracast wireless display

    2x USB-A 3.0
    1x USB 3.0 USB-C
    1x Thunderbolt 3 USB-C
    1x 3.5mm audio
    1x Micro SDXC reader

    12.3 inch IGZO LCD
    2880x1920 resolution
    1:1500 contrast ratio, 100% sRGB
    Gorilla Glass with anti-fingerprint
    Anti-reflection coating
    Metal-mesh technology

    48 Wh battery

    Sensors:

    Fingerprint, Hall, Gravity, Light, Gyroscope

    Cameras:

2 MP front and 5 MP back

    Pen:

Windows Ink Certified N-trig with 1024 pressure levels, 2 buttons, Surface Pro(2017) pen support

    Keyboard:

Wired and wireless backlit keyboard with glass covered precision touchpad
    by Synaptics
Bluetooth 4.2, connects up to 3 devices

    Audio:

Quad speakers 1W dedicated headphone jack
Audio Jack Amplifier by Texas Instruments (tpa6133)
    2 noise-canceling microphones

    Dimensions:

    295.9 x 205.3 x 8.9 mm
    925 g Tablet & 410 g Keyboard

    PICTURES:

So what does this have the surface pros do not?

THE KEYBOARD AND PEN COME INCLUDED IN THE BOX..... and it's still cheaper than the surface pro

The keyboard can be used connected to the tablet or detached thanks to the Bluetooth option which can pair up to 3 devices at once.

The keyboard has 7 different backlighting options which can be controlled via FN+V

The keyboard has a built-in battery which does make the keyboard a little thicker+heavier than the surface but gives they keyboard the power to not drain the tablet battery as much whilst in use which ill takes any day.

The tablet features Y CPU to help save battery life as well as a low power consumption screen from sharp and low power consumption ram/SSD for battery life yet still offer really good performance.

The tablet also features a fingerprint scanner built into the power button so when you power this up it scans and logs you in automatically. During our test, it took 2.3 seconds for it to scan and log in.

The headphone jack features a built-in dedicated headphone amp so if you connect up some decent headphones your really going to enjoy the rich sound. The built-in tablet speakers are also very good and sound better than those on the surface pros.

The port selection on this tablet is also one of the main selling points for me personally.

    2 x USB 3.0 ports
    2 x USB-C ports
    1 x Dedicated headphone jack built-in amp

One of those type-c ports charges and allows devices to be connected to it and the second is also a Thunderbolt 3 port so if you an external GPU you can hook that up to this tablet and gain full graphical power in a portable form factor which is amazing. The battery life is genuinely amazing as it lasted a full day of solid work for me and thanks to the type-c charging it charges really fast.

Here is the model pricing so you can see just how much cheaper they are compared to the surface line. The i7,16GB, 1TB model is $1000 cheaper than equivalent Microsoft version!

Just figured I would share my thoughts and save anyone out there money on buying the Surface Pro models when these are so much cheaper and in my opinion offer better value for money. If I had to say a con it would be that the backside of this tablet is a bit of a fingerprint magnet but that's nothing a microfiber cloth can't fix.

Sorry, this post is not allowed or in the wrong section

No problem and this would be a great replacement as they offer higher tier models. They are currently working on crowdfunding an external GPU and a docking station too which looks set to get funded again. If they want to work with me again and offer the review for those I will share them too

look an advice to Microsoft should be is dont over price it much or when they do make each 100 thousand units sold they make a 2 day sale on them would boost thier pi also i like thier specs but if u could suggest them to try and build a max q 1080 surface device with no fans something really cool since u obv have contact also this seems like a nice tablet but the y3 version wouldn't call it pro tbh that processor is under powered also they should be aiming to use 8th gen quad core i7 instead of dual cores as it would actually be super neat also if u could suggest maybe down the road to make a way to upgrade the ram and storage using the keyboard so people wouldnt have to go through the hassle thats if they find a connector with through put that can sustain that much data or a dock with something similar im sure it would be a killer feature and would be a "Pro" device with no compromises but ofc this is microsoft and they do what makes them the most money.

The company built this device based on what the community wanted IE the processor selection and the ram choices were all made by the community. If they do a follow up on a version 2 I assume they will do the same thing again by asking the community to vote on what makes it into the final design. As for gaming they have released information on the eGpu they have built which allows you to connect a standalone gpu or sli gpu's which would be insane imo. I will forward your suggestions on though and see what they say
