What's your current budget for a GPU? Is that all you're looking for?

If you were to go for an R9, get the 390X. It'll be worth it!

What is the reason that you won't be able to afford a 970? I'm not asking for personal info, but i'm wondering if you are able to wait a little longer and save more to afford it, or if your budget is firm for a while... If you can wait, the 970 will definitely be a MUCH better option. I cannot say anything about the 960 as I have never owned one.
