I know absolutely nothing about building a PC, and what it entices. After searching a few videos and pages, this came up. I'm not sure if it's a great build, for my budget (£550). If anyone could list any improvements i could take to this, preferably keeping under £550.

My type of gaming: I happily run games on low graphical settings, and like to see higher frame rates instead. Not into anything demanding, the most would be games like cs:go etc.

    PC Specs:
    Intel Core i5-4460: http://amzn.to/1GfCDo8
    EVGA GTX 960: http://amzn.to/1GpK52s
    Asus B85M-G R2.0: http://amzn.to/1DHKFEO
    8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport: http://amzn.to/1GpKC4p
    250GB Crucial BX100: http://amzn.to/1z1uyGs
1TB Western Digital Blue: Amazon.com: WD Blue 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200rpm Internal Hard Drive: Computers & Accessories
    500W EVGA PSU: Amazon.com: EVGA 500W 80PLUS Certified ATX12V/EPS12V Power Supply 100-W1-0500-KR: Computers & Accessories
    Corsair 100R: http://amzn.to/1PvIHQf

    Thanks in advance xx

That's a great build for the price. Highly recommend you stick with that, should run low-end games like a breeze. Probably high-end games on low to medium settings too.

If you usually play games at low framrates and you're content with them, I'd suggest getting this CPU instead.

    Amazon.com: Intel Core i3-4360 Processor (4M Cache, 3.70 GHz) BX80646I34360: Computers & Accessories

It's $40 cheaper and 0.5 GHz faster. Even though it's an i3, it'll get the job done!

That means you have an extra $40 to spend on the GPU for a better framrate. I suggest going with the 970 instead of the 960. It's worth it!

If you want a powerful pc go with this. No storage atm but for 550 you're getting something that could pull high settings at 45+fps on almost every game out atm. If you can use laptop HDD for now and upgrade to an SSD in the future, then this will probably be the best £550 you spend.

The i5-4690k is one of the best gaming CPUs out there atm, and it has overclocking potential to 4.8ghz with the right setup. Compared to the i3-4630/i5-4460 there's no contest: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i...l-Core-i3-4360 || http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i...l-Core-i5-4460

The Hyper-Evo cooler is an incredibly popular fan due to its powerful yet affordable nature.

The Z97 PC MATE is a solid mobo, supporting Overclocking up to 4.3ghz whilst remaining very cheap.

8GB RipJaws X Series RAM spread over 2 sticks is a reliable stick of memory.

GTX 960, whilst a 2GB card remains popular because of it's strength when it comes to gaming.

The Corsair SPEC 03 has dust filters and 2 fans built in, and what it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for in robustness.

XFX 550W is a rebranded Seasonic PSU and is one of the most reliable PSUs on the market, easily pulling this build and more.

If you're willing to spend the money on a 970, get an AMD R9 290 instead. It's around the same price but is a better pound for pound card. The last 0.5gb of the 970's 4gb is VERY slow and the 290 will pull almost any game at 60fps on ultra. My build is fairly similar to this but with 16gb RAM and a Sapphire Tri-X OC 290 and these are the results for Witcher 3:

    Spoiler for Witcher 3:

I got this build except for the case, got a more casual looking corsair mid tower case.
And this build is great, I went for a kingston 240GB SSD and a 1.5 TB Hdd from seagate for storage
