    Would this build be solid for everyday use like browsing the web, Microsoft Office, Rosetta Stone, and other modern day programs?

    More than enough. I've used my dinosaur for years (70GB HDD, 512MB /RAM, can't remember processor but it was a piece of shit) and was always happy with it. I used it for gaming, programming, music, etc. Yeh buddy, you'll be golden.
