I recommend an iMac. If you can't afford a new one, even investing in a well looked after pre-owned one is a fine. I suggest looking specifically at an iMac with the Snow Leopard OS system; that has the highest specs and what not. I have this myself so I highly recommend it.

If you've not had one before I honestly advise you get one. You most probably don't like them because of the way the whole system operates, it's completely different from Windows and it takes a little bit of time to get used to but when you do get used to it, it's amazing in my point of view. And if you want a decent intel, I suggest i7.

Mac's have a i5/i7 in them, where have you been.
Also I would say look on youtube, people give good budgets for nice builds.

I don't know the conversions for EUROS to USD but what I do know is that a Macbook is probably the way to go if you're looking for an all around PC.

If you're looking for gaming I'd say an Alienware (which is a bit more pricey).

The best thing to do is go with either an intel core i5 or i7 processors and preferably one with a good amount of RAM (4-6GB should be the minimal).

No don't buy an oem system, I would say build your own, and don't get a laptop either otherwise you will be screwed in the end if you want to game on it, Alienware laptops are nice for a bit but then there gpu gets outdated, not to mention overpriced there is other companies besides alienware.
