Currently my old desktop is complete trash, been grinding with it for 6 years. It only has 1 GB Ram and, 250GB Hardrive and a Intel Pentium processor. I mainly use the computer for my college work, web -browsing and Rs. My little brother uses it for a few games and my parents only use the web. My aprents aren't going to buy a new one, so i thought i would but i am on a budget lol.

Is this good for what we do?
    AMD A6-5400K processor
    3.60GHz(TurboCharged 3.8 GHZ), 1MB Cache
6GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 16GB)
    1TB SATA hard drive
    AMD Radeon HD 7540D Graphics

    for $378

Have you thought about building your own computer? Better value.

How much would it cost to build a decent computer? I as you can see i don't game much aside from runescape so i don't need a powerhouse but something that can multitask easily.

A calculator would be better than what you have right now.

Don't waste your time building one, just buy the one you mention in the OP.

Why not just get some more ram and see if you can upgrade your possessor?

You certainly don't need 6GB of ram if you only use it for runescape and "everyday use"
