Will contact soon . Good Luck.
Can't wait to hear from you - We are growing everyday, and I help out all servers on RuneAd as much as I can. So send me a PM on discord if you have any questions about Toplists / RuneAd
Not as many now as before. I remember every server was "#1 rsps" I believe that fad is more or less over with. Most have went to basic easy to remember names.
kinda shitty to remove all copyright and violate the license that was provided in the original toplist (which is open source), because i wouldn't provide you help because you're entitled.
It's open-source software and was meant to remain open source, not stolen while claiming all credits to it.
You've barely done anything to it at all except make a few minor edits. If i hadn't helped at all you wouldn't even have got it working.
was blocked on Discord after that last message. It's aight, filed a DMCA takedown as per usual
Instead of filing likely false DMCA claims, pick your licenses more carefully to reflect your feelings about how you want your software to be used. You've chosen the GPL 3.0, which exempts networked usage of software, unlike the AGPL. What this means is that the backend code of a website often does not have to be released.
https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.en.html
At most, the only way the source disclosure clause applies to the backend is through the grey area of generated HTML using templates licensed under the GPL. But, again, rather than arguing a case that has never been tried, just pick a different license next time and save yourself the hassle. To “convey” a work means any kind of propagation that enables other parties to make or receive copies. Mere interaction with a user through a computer network, with no transfer of a copy, is not conveying.
Additionally, nowhere in your original post or on your GitHub page did you require the footer credits to be intact. And, as far as the license is concerned, attribution can be any form of copyright notice, anywhere, even only on one page, as long as it is easily accessible (in an "about" page, for example) + keeping the license/license headers intact (see: https://opensource.stackexchange.com/a/4582).
yes im aware of the footer thing, he did not pay me for brand removal tho as he's telling some people. He paid me to get past the errors he was having and to get it working, which i did.
The copyright can be anywhere, not just in footer. hell can be in the html as a comment for all i care.
from what i understood about the license is it covers the entire thing as a whole, not just specific parts. The license is still transferred regardless of how you download and use it, and must remain open-source.
aaand as i'm typing this he blocked me again cause i caught him lying to people. So here's proof of him lying
Looks like a great rsps community, will definitely for my server!
