Hah! Who are you to be telling me what my maps are worth? You probably don't realize that maps with the level of detail I strive for often take over 10-20 hours to complete. Even if there were others creating maps that rival mine (I've never personally seen any), I doubt their creators would be selling them for much less than me, because, again, they take a considerable amount of time to produce. While it's true that map making tools are more readily available today than ever before, simply having access to a map editor doesn't mean you'll be able to start churning out quality content--in the same way that downloading photoshop doesn't instantly make you a qualified graphic artist. I've spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours making maps, and consequently have become quite experienced at it. When they hire me, my clients are paying for that experience. They trust that what I create for them will help make their server more profitable/enjoyable.
It's fine if you don't see the appeal of my work, but to say that people are creating superior maps on their first try is honestly laughable.
