Hey everyone, my name is Brandon and I am looking to pay people to make Kotlin plugins using the RS Mod plugin API for my up coming project. I am going to give you a bit of context just so that neither one of us wastes any time.

I am 21 years old and have been programming for somewhere north of 5 years. I am currently a full time student working on my BA in comp sci with a focus on SWE. I have been running servers for years with my current project being semi successful.

My current project is built off of a terrible base and connects to a 317 client so myself and my small team have decided it would be best to make the switch over to an OSRS framework for longevity. Once I found RS Mod I was so amazed with how clean and versatile it is that I decided to use it. I developed my current project myself with no help. As I am sure many of you know that is just not scalable so here I am.

The following criteria can be used to get a rough idea of the people I am looking for:
    - Must have an understanding of basic object orientated programming principles such as polymorphism, encapsulation, abstraction, and inheritance.
*You should also be experienced with making very modular code that is easily read.
    - Should be somewhat comfortable programming in Kotlin. At the very least be able to show proficiency using Java or any C based language.
    - Being somewhat familiar with the RS Mod API is preferred. If not at least having the skills to pick it up quickly.
    - Being able to follow basic direction and communicate effectively.
    - Be able to follow loose deadlines.

I am looking for people of all skill levels. To be quite honest if you read the criteria and understood it I am sure I can find something for you to do. On the other hand, if you are experienced and can handle bigger tasks you are also welcome.

I am looking to pay people per project they complete. I want to be clear as well that I am not some random looking to pay someone to do $50 worth of programming work. I have a very large budget and I am not afraid to pay people what the task is worth. If you are more of a beginner and want to do $50 worth of work that is fine but I just want to stress that I am also looking for experienced programmers. I will not waste your time.

If this is something that interests you just send me a rune-server PM letting me know you are interested in the dev work and either ask for my Discord or send yours. My Discord is private so you need to add me as a friend before dming me. Once you add me we can talk terms and get to know each other a bit and then make the determination if we want to do business together. I am a nice guy so don't be afraid to just shoot me a message and chat a bit if you even think there is a chance you might be interested.

TLDR: I have real money to spend on real RS Mod dev work. If this interests you add me and shoot me a pm.

This is by no means a slight or an attack on OP but rather a fair warning to other interested developers: unless you are fresh to the development scene and are willing to work for substandard compensation, pass this gentleman up and keep in search of another opportunity. I spent the better part of my day in conversation with him and while I respect his spirit and determination for the project, he is unfortunately misinformed on proper value of the work that is being requested. My standard rate of $50/hr for content design was challenged with him only feeling comfortable paying such a rate for a professional engineer. For the sake of transparency, here is an imgur album containing our entire conversation.

To all developers who may take on jobs through this website: know the value of your time and the quality of your work.

You take yourself a little bit too seriously if you think you deserve $50/hour

A variety of customers and developers would disagree with you, but I also offered to work for $35/hr. This is more about a fundamental misunderstanding of value of time spent on a project that - if done properly - could produce a significant revenue stream.

Listen man, I think you are a nice guy and I thought our conversation was quite pleasant but I am a little astounded that you would even post this sort of response on my thread. Even if you were a qualified Software Engineer I do not have tasks needing to be done that really require that skill set. If I did need a qualified Software Engineer then I would be happy to pay $50 an hour for one.

My help ad did state that I am looking for experienced programmers but I can not pay anyone $50 an hour. If you believe your time is worth that amount I can respect that but unfortunately I can not afford to pay that rate for average content development.

OT: If you are willing to do fair content development work for a reasonable price then drop me a pm. I have an endless amount of work that needs to be done and can pretty much fill your schedule. That being said, if you are willing to work then I have thousands of dollars to spend on content development which could be yours.

-1 I've had a bad experience dealing with Lunaris in the past due to the owners and admins toxic behavior.

Yes, I am sorry we had a poor experience trying to do business with you but that negative experience was reciprocal. You were definitely miss treated by a member of my staff but when I approached you to solve the issue you flamed me. Again, I am sorry for the way things unfolded and I am sorry that someone from my team miss treated you but it was a long time ago and I dealt with it back when it happened.

I have sent you a direct message, also, I do not ask $50 a hour, I prefer to work and get paid per task that I get.

If you are actually serious about this, I would love to work and put some serious hours into this project.
    Keep your head up.
