That was just the first week after that 40$ a week and thats more then enough for a web developer. Since all you've to do is create a website.

Why not just make a basic website... since not players go inside the forums etc... the main thing they are looking for to join is the server not the website, so the website dosn't need to be that great

You say that as if it's simple to create a website to the caliber a good website developer would. If you want to pay someone $40/week you cant expect them to completely go HAM on your website. You'd just expect them to make it functional and thats it. Not beautiful nor attractive.
