Thread: Need help with the No-Ip part of setting server up.

Need help setting up my server with CobraHost and no-ip, help please?


EDIT: I CAN NOT port forward, I got the CobraHost because of that, some people told me that I wouldnt need to port forward if I had a host and other keep saying I still need to. I just want someone to explain STEP BY STEP VERY DETAILED what I need to do to get this to work.. I dont understand how I can run my server if I put the host IP or domain in the client area "server = " because wont everyone be able to see the IP / host and use it themselves? This is just so confusing and doesnt really even make sense so if someone knows what they are doing then post here if you dont and you just want to boost your post count saying "I need this" or "you just need to run it and set it up" ... If I knew how to set it up I wouldnt be posting...

Okay then how do I host the server 24/7 with JUST CobraHost?

Then wouldnt everyone be able to see my hosts IP and use it for themselves? And how would that run the server if I am the only who is running the server, like if I run it how would they connect if they are connecting to another IP? Ugh this is so confusing

See this is what pisses me off, I get like 3 different fucking answers! Im tired of this shit im about to just forget it all, no one can give me a straight answer with a detailed walk through, if your not going to explain step by step what to do and how to do it DO NOT POST!!!

Use the IP they give you at CobraHost. Have your players connect to that IP with their clients. All you need to do on the server at CobraHost is run your server. It's that simple.
